Here's a shot of my bike with the long-awaited radial mount front calipers, Monster wheels (a temporary solution while I decide which wheels I will ultimately use; I'm leaning toward Marchesini 10-spoke forged aluminum in the titanium color), and fork internals modified. On the forks, we swapped out the bottoms so that I could use the radial mount calipers, installed heavier springs, and changed the pistons and shim stack. Wow. What a difference. These brakes are amazing and the improvement in handling with the suspension mods is stunning; very confidence inspiring.
BTW, I also switched to a 1098S carbon fiber front fender because I wanted to be able to protect the fork lowers.

very kool i am thinking about getting my extra superbike rear shock redone and put it on my s2r1000.
sweet man. and how much may I ask did that set you back? (cause it'd look oh so cool on my 'Lil' Fren'!)
I tried to respond earlier, but it doesn't seem to have gone through. The parts (not including wheels) ran about $2900.00. Labor was about another $500. I had to have some custom brackets made and the calipers had to have 4mm shaved off of the mounting areas. Keep in mind, the total includes tires and mounting them plus an oil change. These little tiny brackets that go with the fenders cost $90 - each ($180 total). The front fender was another $229.
The radial mount brackets are about $1200 and the calipers are about $500. The superbike internals, springs, and valving were $350.
So, it was a chunk of change to get it done but I'd do it again in a heartbeat. This bike is turning into a dream to ride. I was really happy with it before these changes. The changes take it to an entirely new level.
I'm planning to visit a friend in Allyn (about 1/2 an hour from Shelton) on Sunday. I want to take twisty roads home. If you (and anyone else up there that might want to ride) are going to be around, maybe you could ride part of the way home with me and point me toward some fun roads. Hopefully my headlight lens won't get shattered like it did the last time I tried to get up there to ride with you. That day was just a bummer for me...

Dude!! you shoulda called. Sorry I didn't check the post sooner. I was playing loggerman in the back yard. hard work. I would have gladly put that off to ride.
Any time any of you guys are in the area just stop in. There is always time for a chat and refreshment if I'm home and often time for a ride. (a ring on the phone would be better so as not to surprise the fiance though
)
