A little video & sound with the new cams and wheels

Posted by Dale Veith at December 30. 2007

Well, we had a brief break in the rain so I fired up the camera to see if I could get a sound/video clip of the bike with the DP cams in it and the 5-spoke wheels on it. It's a very amatuer-ish job, and I feel like a complete squid riding in jeans, tennis shoes, and a polar fleece jacket.

You'll notice that I still haven't cleaned the tire-mounting goop off the tires since having the 5-spoke wheels mounted. I'm planning on going for a long ride tomorrow. I figure the bike is going to get filthy on the ride, so I'll clean it up after the ride.

As you'll see, the ground is soaked and I'm obviously on cold tires, so I only did a few 1st gear, about quarter to one-third throttle passes. At least now that I know how to convert the video so that it can be uploaded, I can start working on getting some quality images/sound.

If this works like it does on other forums, you'll click on the video image to start it. A page at Photobucket should open. If it doesn't start playing when that page opens, you might have to click on the image again. If it doesn't work like that, you should be able to click on the link to get to Photobucket and play it from that page.

Enjoy.

Sounds great. It looks like she wants to wheelie.

Thanks guys. And yes, it does want to wheelie. It's a gas. It'll loft the front wheel over little rises in the road so that it's a lot like riding a dirt bike that way. I'm lovin' it.
